Mutt is a text-based email client for the terminal that has been in development since 1995 and enjoys a legendary reputation among experienced Linux users. It supports IMAP, POP3, SMTP, GPG encryption, MIME attachments, and threading. Mutt is extremely configurable and can be combined with external programs for text editing, address book, and calendar. The client is lightning-fast, resource-efficient, and can be operated entirely via the keyboard.
