When you need a commercial licence
You need one if your company has 100 or more people or at least 1,000,000 USD (2019, adjusted for inflation) revenue in the prior tax year, and you use Statim’s model weights, or outputs produced with them, beyond a trial of fewer than 32 days for anything with an anticipated commercial application:
- Inside a company’s products, services, internal tools or workflows
- In a SaaS product, app or website that earns money
- Behind a paid API, or as part of a hosted or managed service
- In consulting or client work
- Redistributing or reselling the weights or derived models

Do I need a licence to compile Statim?
No. The C++ engine, HTTP server and conversion tools are Apache-2.0. You can build, ship and sell the binary.
What if I run the original Laya checkpoints?
The original Laya checkpoints are Apache-2.0 by their authors and are not covered by Statim’s commercial page. Statim-published weights are separately licensed.
Are the training sources commercially usable?
Released Statim weights are trained only on commercially usable, non-ShareAlike data. Every source is listed in DATA_LICENSES.md.
How are commercial licences sold?
Per organisation, with volume tiers for self-hosted deployments. Email the maintainer with company, use case and expected request volume.
