Standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Binder has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation. The following standards are enforced in the product and in our moderation practice.
1. Adults only
Binder is an 18+ service. The age requirement is enforced at sign-up through a mandatory birth-date check, and the declared birth date is locked afterwards. Google Play's target audience for Binder is adults only.
2. Prohibited content and behavior
The following lead to immediate removal and account suspension:
- any sexual content involving or depicting minors, real or simulated;
- attempts by minors to access the service or by adults to impersonate minors;
- grooming, solicitation or sexualized communication directed at minors;
- sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
3. In-app reporting
Every profile and every message can be reported directly in the app — including before a match exists. The report category "May be under 18" is assigned the highest review priority in our moderation queue. Reporting also blocks the reported account immediately for the reporting user, and reporters remain anonymous to the reported person.
4. Photo moderation
Every profile photo is reviewed before it becomes visible to other users. Content indicating a minor or CSAE leads to rejection, account suspension and case escalation.
5. Action on knowledge and cooperation with authorities
When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE activity, we remove the content, suspend the account, preserve evidence as legally required and report to the competent authorities — in Germany the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) and, where applicable, the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We comply with applicable child-safety laws, including reporting obligations.
6. Point of contact
Child-safety concerns can be raised any time at nullmesh@protonmail.com. Reports of this category are handled with priority. Responsible operator: Belkis Aslani (see Impressum). The conduct rules these standards build on are set out in the Terms & Community Rules; data handling for reports and moderation is described in the privacy policy.
